 Number of Class: 18 (Approx) (19th Aug to 31st Sept)

 Duration of each class: 2.5 Hrs

 Fee: Rs12000/-( Early Bird Discount for first 10 enrolments 50%)

Timings: 6.30 PM to 9PM (Monday, Wednesday & Saturday)

Brief Introduction of Course:

Economy remains integral part of UPSC Prelims and Mains examination. Further, one cannot fully understand Newspaper, if he/she is weak in Economics. Today, Economy not only shape domestic policy sphere, but also it shapes international relations and governance of International bodies.

You will love Economy if you understand it. Our approach to teaching Economics is to break down complex concept in simple understandable common sense logic. This approach makes learning intuitive, and eliminates any need to mug up things.

In this course we will cover:

  1. Economic concepts, Sectors of Economy, Socio Economic Planning, Growth vs. Development, Development Indicators, Inflation, Monetary Policy, Fiscal policy, Balance of Payment
  2. International Organization - World Bank, IMF, WTO
  3. Important events in Indian Economy – Land Reform, Community Development Programme, Green Revolution,LPG (Economic reform) etc.
  4. Indian Agriculture – cropping pattern, irrigation systems, agricultural markets, issues and solution to various problems faced by Indian agriculture.
  5. PDS, MSP and Subsidies
  6. Food Processing
  7. Infrastructure - Energy, Ports, Roads, Airports, Railways etc.
  8. Issues: Inclusive growth, Poverty, Over urbanization and slum, Migration etc.
  9.  Recent Developments – Current Affairs
